Mashup

Dominique Jerard Barr was given a $30,000 bond for shooting a Moncks Corner police officer in the leg. Tri-county judges still have a problem with the bail concept. Yes, the Constitution says you are entitled to one, but not necessarily one you can afford. He is, after all, just a high school student about to graduate.

His attorney claims he is innocent because he turned himself in and submitted to a paraffin test. Too bad they don't use that test anymore. Oh, and his momma turned him in. His attorney, Steve Davis, claims the poor child is innocent and he can prove it. He claims the waif was using an Eat Better Today card at a gas station around the time he allegedly shot Officer Judy. How is that for a typical ghetto alibi?

The alibi also begs the question, how is an eighteen year old high school student able to use an EBT card? Does it have his name on it? The next inquiry all taxpaying citizens should make is how is that EBT cards can be used at a gas station? How is it an EBT card can be used to pay the crab-man at Meeting Street & Dorchester Road? I gotta get me one o' dem cards!!

Oh Noes!! Another white man shoots down a 'minority' under the Castle Doctrine. Standing by for the outcry.

Violence in the Lowcountry - Again

We start the weekend report with a body found in a ditch on an overgrown property in West Ashley. According to the description provided by the P & C, the deceased was found dressed in typical hood-rat clothing with particulars that are more than common - B/M, 18-25 years of age.

A shooting victim in Rosemont was identified as Paul Mitchell of North Charleston. Let's review Mr. Mitchell's history via Charleston County's website since the Post and Courier won't do the legwork.

09.28.2005     Arrested for: Possession of Crack With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute Within 1/2 Mile of a School, Possession of Crack With Intent to Distribute Within 1/2 Mile of a School. All charges were dismissed when Officer Scott Perry failed to show up for the preliminary hearing.

04.02.2006     Arrested for: Armed Robbery, ABHAN, Possession of Cocaine 1st Offense, Possession of a Weapon During a Crime. All charges were dropped when he plead guilty to related charges, although I can't find a conviction or a plea on any related charge.

08.07.2006     Arrested for: Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery. Dismissed when he plead guilty to Strong Armed Robbery. Sentence: 10 years, suspended on 549 days served & 3 years probation.

09.27.2008     Arrested for: Possession of Marijuana. No case disposition provided.

10.13.2009     Arrested for: Possession of Cocaine. No disposition provided.

04.05.2010     Arrested for: Possession of Cocaine 1st Offense. Plead guilty. Sentence: 52 days served, 1 year probation.

08.11.2010     Arrested for: Driving Under Suspension 1st Offense. Plead Guilty. Fined.

As we can see, Mr. Mitchell has a violent history associated with narcotics. Had prosecutors and judges done their jobs, he might still be alive. In prison, but alive.

Jason Arriolo was shot and killed in Summerville. Investigators are still probing the circumstances.Arriolo was a maggot familiar to police officers all over the Tri-County area. Thanks to reporter David McDougall for his due diligence in pointing out the criminal history of the alleged 'victim.' He will not be missed.

Finally - Some White Drug Dealers

We all know they are out there. The ages and location of these suspects surprises me a bit, but hey, I guess those Charleston County property taxes can be a bitch for someone on a fixed income.

And yet another black on black shooting in downtown Charleston. As usual, the P&C provides NO description of the victim or suspects. Wanna guess why? They sure didn't waste any time putting up the mugshots of those two white folks in the story above. Mugshots of black suspects usually take two days or more to hit the paper or website. Nothing unusual here folks, move along.

In typical fashion, the P&C chooses not to do even the most basic investigation to gather information for the story. I spent three minutes finding this at the Charleston County website:

Goodwin plead guilty to possession of less than a gram of meth/cocaine base on 10.27.2011 and appears to have been sentenced to 60 days by Judge Roger Young. Hey P&C - here's a hint - maybe this conviction has something to do with why he was shot. Consider it and let me know what you think.

Here is a shot from Goodwin's FB page. He attended Burke High School. Now there's a reference. In this pic he is throwing up the typical ghetto gang sign that makes these idiots look like arthritic, gay, ghetto boys.

Suspicious?

The Post & Courier must be reading this blog, as evidenced by the fact they finally discovered the arrest and conviction history of Ishmel Lemon. My readers already knew this because I reported those facts yesterday.

More Lowcountry Violence

Another shooting in the city of North Charleston. D-Rock does it again. How many times has that clown been arrested and not sent to prison?

Here is my problem with the victim's story: He is riding in a car, D-Rock is in a car. I assume both are seated. The victim is shot in the stomach and the leg. Hmm. Most hood-rat rounds won't penetrate the body of a vehicle, which implies this fellow was probably out of his car, hitting D-Rock up for some rock cocaine when he got his ass popped.

We will see how this one shakes out.
